NEXT CHAPTER SOMATICS

Somatic mentorship for clarity and choice.

Your body learned to survive.

Now you can learn to live.

If you’re starting to wonder whether a pattern is shaping your life, we can explore that together.

Maybe you’ve hit a simple truth: your reactive patterns are creating pain — for you, and in your relationships.

In daily life, this can look like:

  • Pausing too long because you are afraid to say the wrong thing.

  • Saying yes when your body means no.

  • Going quiet, then replaying the conversation for hours.

  • Trying to be clear, but sounding defensive.

  • Feeling calm alone, then unsettled in relationship.

  • Wanting closeness, but bracing when closeness arrives.

  • Knowing your truth, but going quiet when it matters most.

Together, we track what happens in your body under stress — so you have more choice in how you respond.

We practice truth in a way your system can trust.

You don’t need to name the pattern first — only a willingness to look.

You adapted for a reason.

Not because you were broken — because you were wise.

This work helps soften automatic protection so you can meet life with more steadiness and choice.

Your next chapter can be shaped by the wisdom in what you’ve lived.

Slow. Consent-based. Paced to what you can hold.

Somatic mentorship and education for adults. Not psychotherapy or medical care.

Let’s clarify what you’re navigating and see if this is the right next step.

The Pattern

Over time, your system learned strategies that helped you get through.

In response, a rule was written — and that rule can keep running even when it’s no longer needed:

  • It’s not safe to speak.

  • I have to be strong.

  • I’m too much.

  • I’m not enough.

  • I have to stay in control.

That rule became a lens.

Through that lens, the present moment stops being neutral.

A pause becomes rejection.
A boundary becomes abandonment.
A hard conversation becomes a threat.
A request becomes pressure.
Closeness becomes exposure.

Your body is not responding only to what is happening now.
It is responding to what it learned to expect.

So you may find yourself going quiet, over-explaining, bracing, defending, or saying yes when something in you means no.

Not because you are broken.
Because your system learned how to protect you.

And that protection may still be shaping how you respond — until it is brought into awareness.

This isn’t a flaw.

It’s how humans adapt.

The work begins when you’re willing to look.

What changes

You don’t need a new personality.

You need new options in the moments your reflexes create outcomes you don’t actually want.

Instead of reacting automatically, you begin to notice what’s happening in real time.

Instead of being carried by an old belief, you pause.

You see what is underneath the reflex.

You feel the reflex arise — and you don’t have to follow it.

Over time, there is more room between what happens and how you respond.

Clarity replaces confusion.

Choice replaces compulsion.

How We Work

We slow down.

We pay attention to what’s happening in your body in real time.

As we track sensation, you may notice the story your system reaches for — and the reflex that follows.

We stay close to what is present: the breath, the tension, the emotion, the impulse, the belief.

Not to analyze it from a distance.
To meet it directly, at a pace your system can hold.

As we stay with what is happening, the protective surge can begin to settle.

The pattern becomes visible.

The belief becomes less fused with reality.

The body has a chance to learn something new.

THE STAND I TAKE

I do not believe you are broken.

I do not believe your reactions are random.

I believe your body learned intelligent ways to protect you.

But protection can keep shaping your life long after the danger has passed.

My work is to help you slow down enough to see the pattern clearly, feel what your system is protecting, and choose your response from steadiness instead of survival.

We are not here to force change.

We are here to tell the truth at a pace your body can trust.

What I Offer

There is one throughline:

We stabilize.

We see clearly.

You regain access to choice.

Most people begin with SRT. PNE is available when you trust yourself more and are willing to experience what your body has to show you.

Somatic Session (SRT)

A structured, present-moment session that helps you notice sensation, reflex, emotion, and belief as they arise.

Best if:

  • You are tired of reacting in ways that do not match who you want to become.

  • You want to notice the moment before you go quiet, get sharp, over-explain, or try to keep the peace.

  • You are willing to slow down enough to feel what is underneath the reflex.

  • You want cleaner speech, clearer boundaries, and more steadiness under relational pressure.

  • You are not looking to be fixed — you are ready to stop managing who you are and start living from who you are.

When useful, we incorporate reflective inquiry and pattern mapping — always in service of the same work.

PNE: In-Person Stabilization

A hands on, point-holding process that helps your system settle and organize at a deeper level.

Best if:

  • You’re open to an in-person process and willing to experience what your body has to show you.

If you’re new to this work, we begin with a brief connection call. We’ll clarify what you’re navigating and whether this is the right next step.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this therapy or religious counseling?

No. This is somatic mentorship and education. It’s not psychotherapy, and it’s not a substitute for medical or mental-health care.

This work isn’t affiliated with any religion. If connecting to your faith or sense of something larger (God, Higher Power, Nature, Buddha-nature, the Universe) supports your regulation and meaning-making, it can be part of the work. If you need licensed therapy or crisis support, I’ll help you find the right resources.

What’s the difference between SRT and PNE?

SRT can be done on Zoom or in person. PNE is offered in person only. It includes gentle point-holding while we follow the same process at a deeper level of settling.

We track sensation, feel emotion, and notice where we feel stuck in the body in real time so the pattern becomes easier to see and you have more choice in how you respond.

Both approaches follow the same path: We stabilize. We see clearly. You have access to choice again.

Online sessions use non-point-holding somatic work (SRT).

Who is this work a good fit for?

People who feel the quiet “there’s more truth here” and are ready to stop living from protection alone.

We slow down enough for what’s underneath to become clear. When protection settles, choice returns.

You’re not broken. You’re reclaiming choice.

How often do people typically meet?

Most people begin biweekly. We’ll choose a pace that allows the work to unfold without force.

One session can bring insight. Working together over time allows protection to loosen more fully — and choice to become visible.

How should I prepare for an online session?

• Make sure Zoom is up to date.

• Join on time from a desktop or laptop (hands-free / stable camera).

• Sit in a comfortable chair.

• Wear comfortable clothes.

• Have water nearby.

• Choose a quiet space, free from distractions.

What does a session feel like?

Slow. Attuned. Practical.

We track sensation and make space for emotion. We name what the pattern is protecting—and the strategy that helped you get through.

We go slowly enough to stay with what’s there, so something new becomes possible.

The aim is steadiness: less bracing, less pulling away, more choice — especially under pressure.

Can you predict what will happen in a session?

No. Each session is different; the precise nature and outcome are not predictable. We follow what your body shows as most relevant.

What is my role in a session?

You’re the authority of your experience—track and report what you notice (sensations, emotions, thoughts, impulses, shifts). Name intensity when you can (e.g., “3/10… now 6/10”).

Speak up if anything feels too intense, or unclear—so we can slow down, pause, or reorient. You can request a breath, a pause, a shift, or a stop at any time; consent and pacing are part of the work.

Be willing to stay with what’s present until things settle enough for today — then we’ll reorient and end the session.

How long are sessions, and what happens afterward?

Most SRT sessions are 75 minutes. Occasionally we extend with consent.

After your SRT session, give yourself 15–20 minutes of quiet rest. No analyzing — let the felt sense land.

Drink water. Keep the rest of your day a bit lighter if you can.

What changes might I notice over time?

You may notice:

• more relational steadiness, less reactivity

• more capacity to stay present with strong emotion

• clearer boundaries and cleaner speech under stress

• more presence with what’s true — internally and with others

What is ontological coaching?

Ontological coaching is a practical, conversation-based approach that focuses on how you’re making meaning — your language, assumptions, and relationship patterns — so you can see what’s driving a loop and choose a different response.

When is this work not appropriate?

If you are in crisis or feel at risk of harming yourself or others, seek immediate local support. If you need licensed therapy or medical care, I’ll help you find the right resources.

Closing

You’re not wrong for how you adapted.

You’re just ready for the next chapter.

Not despite what you’ve lived— because of what you’ve lived.
